AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda is an independent film about the inspiring life of Paramahansa Yogananda. Yogananda is the Hindu mystic who brought yoga and meditation to the west in 1920, and authored the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi. This film is an important link to the yoga lineage in the U.S. and and offers students and seekers alike the opportunity to be inspired and gain deeper access to this ancient wisdom for our modern world!
Although the film has had regular theater showings in scores of cities throughout the United States and Canada (where it has often been held over at theaters for extra weeks and months) and has won awards at six international film festivals, the film will only have one showing in the Baltimore area at the Regal Hunt Valley Stadium 12 (Cinema) at 11511 McCormick Road in Hunt Valley, Maryland 21030 on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
Due to the high demand for tickets for the special showing of Awake: The Life of Yogananda on June 25, 2015 at the Regal Hunt Valley Stadium 12 (cinema), tickets may now be purchased up until 1/2 hour before show time at the Gathr web site http://gathr.us/screening/12420 The theater has also agreed to have the showing in a larger room.
